DADU: A woman and her daughter were shot dead by eight armed men who stormed their house in Shiro Depar village, some 100 kilometres from this city, on Saturday, officials at the Fareedabad police station said.

They said the murder of Asat Sodhar and her daugh-ter Umra Sodhar seemed to be a case of honour killing.

However, the head of the family, Sikandar Sodhar, said his wife and daughter were targeted by certain land-grabbers, against whom he had been running a campaign in Mehar town for long.-Correspondent
