2013-12-20
PESHAWAR: Tribal leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-iInsaf have vowed to continue blockade of Nato supplies till stoppage of drone attacks, as innocent people, including women and children, are being killed in these strikes in the tribal areas.

Aminzada Afridi, Javid Afridi, Dr Khalil, Ajab Gul and other PTI leaders from Fata told participants of the protest camp and a rally on the 25th day of the antidrone campaign that the attacks were illegal and wouldn`t be allowed. The PTI and its allies Jamaat-i-Islami and Awami Jamhoori Ittehad had jointly started the protest.

The PTI workers from Fataalso participated in the protest camp.

They said that the socalled US war against terrorism had been resulting in the killing of tribal people. The endless conflict has left thousands of residents handicapped, they said, adding that nobody had asked the tribesmen about their problems due to military operations.

According to a press release, PTI`s Peshawar district general secretary Younas Zaheer Mohmand and Fayyaz Khalil told the protesting workers of the camp that they had been seeking justice for the innocent people being killed in the US-led war. -Bureau Report
