E ACH year since 1966 on the 11th of September, when the nation observes the death anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, there would appear in Dawn a `could not but help notice` obituary in an usual size of about 11cms x one column about the life and martyrdom of Major Ziauddin Abassi Shaheed who laid down his life during the famous tank battle at Chawinda in the 1965 war.
This year, in the golden jubilee celebrations by the nation of their 1965 finest hour, I was on the lookout for this notice but found it missing.
I wonder whether time has finally taken a toll of the hand that would every year `lay a wreath` on this date.
