K AR AK: Three children suf fered serious burn injuries when a fire caused by gas leak erupted in a house in Gurguri area here on Saturday.

The fire erupted after a ten-year-old boy named Amad tried to light a bulb in the house of Haji Naseeb Khan.

Three children identified as Amad, Ibad, 8, and Sapna, 11, sustained critical burn injuries.

They were immediately shif ted to a local health centre, from where they were referred to a main hospital in Peshawar in critical condition.

Meanwhile, spokesman of SNGPL for southern districts, Raza Khan Khattak, told mediapersons that during last general elections local politicians had provided substandard gas pipelines to the villagers for gas connections.

The spokesman said that the local people even used water pipes for getting gas connections, thus putting their lives in great danger.-Correspondent
