Hauling PM before court PTI`s big achievement: Khattak

SHANGLA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak believes hauling up Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif before the court in the Panama Papers scandal is a big achievement of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.

He made the comments while addressing a public meeting in Bisham on Sunday. MPAs Shaukat Yousafzai, Abdul Haq, Abdul Munim, Nawaz Khan, and other PTI leaders also spoke on the occasion.

The chief minister announced mega projects in PK-87 constituency, which included a degree college, elevating status of Chakesar sub-tehsil to tehsil level, declaring Kana a sub-tehsil, upgrading tehsil headquarters hospital tocategory C, a building for the press club and technical college in Bisham, and two bridges on Khan Khwar River in Kormang and Ranyal areas.

He also announced upgradation of several schools and establishing water supply schemes in the constituency.

While the chief minister was making speech, tents suddenly collapsed on the people, injuring four of them. The tents came down due to gusty wind.

The medical staf f present on the occasion gave first aid to the injured people.

The chief minister directed the local administration to fine the tent service providers for not properly pitching them.

Mr Khattak criticised the PML-N leader Amir Muqam for `keeping` the Shangla districtbackward and `accumulating` assets. He said Amir Muqam`s son had obtained a stay order on the funds given to the flood-hit areas of Shangla district. The chief minister asked the local people to come out on streets against the PM`s adviser.

Mr Khattak also criticised the Pakistan People`s Party and Awami National Party for `deceiving` the masses on hollow slogans.

Describing the removal of Shaukat Yousafzai from the post of the health minister unjustified, he said the allegations against him were baseless, for which he had apologised to the minister. He said Mr Yousafzai would soon be made minister again.

Mr Khattak said when he assumed power condition of schools and hospitals was worst and neither teachers nor doctorswere doing their duties, while jobs were on sale.

He claimed that his government brought real change in the government departments and curbed patwari and police culture. He said the PTIgovernmenthad appointed thousands of doctors and teachers on merit.

The chief minister said his government was especially focusing the education sector, adding recitation of the holy Quran with translation had been declared compulsory in schools. `We have legislated laws for declaring nazra (learning of Quran) compulsory from class one to fifth,` he claimed.

Earlier, Shaukat Yousafzai said PTI government had the credit to bring development to Shangla, which had been hitherto kept backward by the PML-N.
