KARACHI: In the light of new auto policy, a plan for launching passenger cars in Pakistan by Nissan and Renault was discussed at a meeting held between the officials of Engineering Development Board (EDB), Board of Investment (BoI) and automobile manufacturers.

The delegation from Nissan and Renault, along with their local partner Ghandhara Nissan Ltd, submitted their plans to localise complete knock down (CKD) operations, while providing plans for investment.

The beneñts to be passed to the country, national exchequer and the vendor industry were also explained.-Staff Reporter
