GHALANAl: The two levies personnel, who were shot dead in an attack on a checkpost in Safi tehsil on Sunday night, were laid to rest here on Monday.

The funereal prayers of Zakir and Masood Shah were held at the Levies Headquarters, Ghalanai, which were attended by Mohmand Agency Political Agent Mahmood Aslam, assistant political agents of all the three subdivisions, FC officials and a large numbers of tribal elders.

After funeral prayers they were laid to rest with full honour as levies personnel presented a guard of honour to the fallen personnel. On the occasion, political agent Mahmood Alsam expressed sympathies with the bereaved families, saying their sacrifices would not go waste. He announced Rs100,000 for each family, besides promising that the kin of deceased would be inducted in the khasadar force.
