Gangster`s brother killed

KARACHI: A bakery owner was shot dead in a suspected targeted attack in Lyari on Thursday night, the Baghdadi police said.

They added that Tanveer Buledi, in his mid-30s, was sitting at the `Benazir Bakery`, which he owned, near Lea Market when a gunman riding on a motorcycle appeared there.

He got off the motorbike and opened indiscriminate fire on Mr Buledi and fled.

The victim sustained multiple bullet wounds on his chest and was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Lyari SP Aftab Nizamani told Dawn that it appeared to be a targeted killing.

The police officer said that the victim was a brother of imprisoned Amin Buledi, an alleged gangster of Lyari. Amin Buledi was arrestedinLahorein2013.
