T HE Quaid-i-Azam Library is the most prestigious library in Lahore and Punjab. It is meant to serve as a centre of reliable knowledge and to provide opportunity and encouragement for research scholars.
Special attention is paid to textbook facilities for university students. Recently the library has been automated with the application developed by Acrologix, which has shown commendable results.
All the library material has beentransferred on its database. Reading and research facilities through the internet, data-links, telecommunication networks, digital resources, library database are available to research scholars and students.
All these things are commendable.
However, during load-shedding the internet facility becomes inaccessible to students who must wait for an hour to resume their work.
This wastes time and kills the flow of work.
The issue of power outage should be resolved soon.
