PESHAWAR: Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan has said that traders and industrialists of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administered Tribal Areas should play their effective role in this hour of need and asked them to generously support the internally displaced persons (IDPs).

He said that all possible assistance would be extended to those brothers and sisters who had migrated from North Waziristan Agency. He said that the challenges beingfaced by thenanon these days demanded even more generous, courageous and pragmatic role of the society.

The governor lauded the sacrifices of tribesmen, saying that they had left their homes for the sake of better future of the country, and their valuable services for the country and nation would always be remembered with admiration.

He categorically said that no stone would be left unturned to facilitate IDPs.

The governor was talking toa joint delegation of Tribal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chambers of commerce and industries comprising prominent traders and industrialists of the province and Fata, said a handout issued here Wednesday. Zahid Shinwari, president of the KP Chamber of Commerce and Industries, led the delegation.

Responding to various points from the delegates, the governor welcomed their spirit and said that they had great expectations from the industrialists, businessmen and young generation in every field of life. He said that the government would ensure accelerated development in Fata with the restoration of complete peace in North Waziristan.

He said that the federal government was making efforts to ensure that the young generation played its role in economic development of the country. He said that the government expected a more aggressive contribution from the industrialists and traders in nation building and economic prosperity of the country.

Responding to certain demands put forward by the delegates, the governor assured them to take up their proposals at the respective forums and get them resolved.
