MARDAN: The top three positions were clinched by students of the Karnal Sher Khan Cadet College, Swabi, in the higher secondary schools certificate examination results, 2016, declared of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Mardan, here on Friday.

The results were announced by board chairman Prof Mushtaq Ahmad at a function. He said the top three position holders belonged to the science group.

He said Mohammad Atif got first position by gaining 1,000 marks, followed by Aheryar Khalid Rahim who secured second spot getting 980 marks. The third position was shared by Hamza Mehmood of Karnal Sher Khan Cadet College, Swabi, and Jawad Ahmad of the Paradise College, Swabi, by obtaining 978 marks each. — Correspondent
