GUJRAT: A state-of-the-art CT scan machine has become operational at the Rasheeda Shafi trauma centre of Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital.

The Rs100-million centre, a project under public-private partnership, is near completion and expected to be inaugurated by theend of April. The cost of the trauma centre is being afforded by local humanitarian Imtiaz Kausar and his brothers.

The CT scan machine was inaugurated by one of the oldest patients of the hospital at a ceremony also attended by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa.

The DC expected to launch more of such projects under public-private partnerships.
