TURKISH President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has finally stepped into the Gulf crisis to mediate between today`s rivals who were friends and brothers until yesterday. Leave it to history to fix the reasons for the present crisis, but the losers are the Arab people.
The Arab rulers should know who their enemies are and who their friends. Today`s rivals should sit together to solve their quarrel in the presence of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a towering personality, who has the capability to find a solution to the crisis. He is right when he says that Saudi Arabia, being a big country, should take the lead in resolving the crisis.
At the same time, the rulers of Qatar and the UAE are equally responsible for the crisis and should help in a solution.
