KARACHI: Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) has a managing director to look after the working of the organisation in the absence of Prof Anita Ghulamali who is awaiting directives from the Chief Minister House to resume her duties after the completion of her tenure.

A notification issued from the SEF on Wednesday mentioned that Special Secretary Education Nazir Ahmed Jamali has assumed the MD responsibilities for the time being as an additional charge. SEF Director Aziz Kabani told Dawn that “Prof Ghulamali was awaiting assessment directives from the CM. Meanwhile, the education secretary has received orders from the ministry to bring in someone to look after the SEF in her absence,” he said.

Prof Ghulamali was not available for comment.

SEF was founded in 1992 to provide access and quality education to the people living in the marginalised areas of Sindh.
