BUNER: The longstanding row between the district council and the education department has finally been resolved as the latter has issued the transfer orders of two out of the seven clerks, who are accused of influencing transfers and postings of teachers in Buner.

Transfer orders of clerks Liaqat Ali Khan and Saranjam Khan were issued by Bakhtzada Khan and Sadia Allyas, the district education officers, male and female. These clerks have long been entrenched at the district education office.

Clerl( Liaqat was transferred to the government higher secondary school, Gadezai, and Saranjam, to the government higher secondary school, Torwarsak.

Copies of the transfer orders were also sent to the office of district naib nazim Yousaf Ali Khan and district nazim Dr Obaidullah Khan at the district secretariat on Wednesday.

It is to mention here that Haji Sadiqullah Khan, opposition leader in the district council, had moved a resolution in the council session two months ago, demanding action against seven clerks in the education department for `controlling` all the affairs of the department, including postings and transfers of teachers and assigning examination and census duties.

Following the passage of the resolution, convener Yousaf Ali Khan had ruled that council session won`t be held until the education department took action against the influential clerks.
