TIMERGARA: The police on Wednesday arrested a man along with his father for killing his newly-married wife at Khungi Shah village here.

SHO Timergara Jamiluddin Khan told journalists that a newly-married girl was found dead at her home two days ago.

He said the police took her husband and father-inlaw into custody on suspicion. The police officer said the husband confessed to the crime, saying that he had killed his wife on his father`s orders. The police also recovered a pistol that was used in the crime.

JOIN JI: A former worker and a peasant councillor of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf on Wednesday announced to quit their parties and joined the Jamaat-i-Islami.

Gul Badshah of MuslimKhwar and Jan Mohammad of Barjo Gut joined the JI at a function in Maidan, where JI MPA Saeed Gul was also present.

V E H I C L E REGISTRATION: The political leadership and local government representatives have demanded of the district administration to include reassembled vehicles in the registration process starting from May 15.

In separate statements issued on Wednesday, JI Timergara emir Malik Sher Bahadar, PPP district councillor Alam Zeb, PTI president Mohammad Bashir, JUI-F district emir Maulana Zahid Khan, ANP district vice president Mohammad Ayub Khan said more than 1,000 vehicles brought in the district as scrap had been reassembled.Correspondent
