LAHORE: Security personnel at the Lahore High Court on Monday recovered a bottle of petrol from the custody of a woman when she was entering courtroom of Justice Kazim Raza Shamsi.

Ms Aasia of Gujranwala had come to the court to attend proceedings of bail petitions filed by suspects in the murder case of her husband, Babar. Security personnel said the woman had a plan to commit suicide by setting herself ablaze.

As the personnel snatched the bottle filled with petrol from the lady, she started shouting and complaining about non-arrest of the killers of her husband. The security men restricted her from entering the courtroom.

Ms Aasia announced taking the extreme step if, she said, justice was not done to her.
