Teacher held, three booked for using schools as guest houses

MITHI: In a first case of its kind, four persons were booked and one of them, a primary teacher, was arrested for using closed schools as guest houses on Tuesday after the Islamkot civil judge at Mithi, Sajjad Ahmed Chandio, paid a surprise visit to several schools in the taluka.

The judge found two primary schools lying closed without any valid reason in Mehari Bajeer and Mohammad Saleh Janjhi villages.

The judge ordered arrest of the teacher, Shamsher Ali Janjhi, when he came to know that he had been using the school building in Mohammad Saleh Janhji village as his guest house for long.

The judge also ordered education officials, Mohammad Bachal, Abdul Rahim Hingorjo and Anwer Ali, serving as supervisors, to lodge separate FIRs at the Islamkot police station against three other persons, Nawaz Ali Janjhi, Ameer Janjhi and Mohammad Sharif Junejo, for using schools of their respective villages as their guest houses. The order was immediately complied with.
