2014-02-28
KARACHI: Chairman of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) Afaq Ahmed said on Thursday that some elements were busy in a false propaganda that he was planning to leave the country, and he was going just to perform Umrah.

Speaking at a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, he said he would take the nation into confidence before any such decision. He said he would never leave Pakistan. The MQM-H chairman said he was only going to Saudi Arab to perform Umrah and then would meet some old friends in Dubai. He said he would continue to strive to serve his party and the nation.

He said there was no peace in Balochistan and ‘Talibanisation’ was making inroads in the country. He said the MQM-H was against those who were involved in attacks on the security forces. He said, however, the MQM-H did not support military operation, and believed in dialogue.

Mr Ahmed said some countries were destroying Pakistan’s economy, as they were funding and supporting the pro-Taliban groups, which were also anti-Pakistan. He said those countries, considered to be our friends, were our enemy.

He said it was known that who was promoting terrorism in Balochistan.—PPI
