QUETTA: Two suspected militants were killed during military operations in Kahan, Dera Bugti, Uch and Chatter areas on Sunday.

Security forces also destroyed four camps of the militant organisations operating in the areas.

Official sources said that the security forces had carried out the operations in Kahan, Dera Bugti, Uch and Chatter areas of Sibi and Nasirabad division on intelligence information.

They said that during oper ations militants opened fire on security forces.

Security personnel immediately returned fire, which continued for two hours, resulting in the killing of two suspected militants.

The militants killed in the operations belonged to a banned militant organisation and were involved in attacking security forces, kidnapping for ransom and target killings in these areas.

Meanwhile, the Frontier Corps, Balochistan (South), foiled a terrorist attack in an intelligence-based operation conducted in Turbat, the ISPR said in a statement.

`During the last two days, the FC Balochistan (South) busted a network of terrorists and their facilitators,` it added.

Two facilitators of terrorists were also arrested and a large quantity of arms and ammunition had been recovered, which were being transported to carry out terrorist activities in Turbat, the ISPR said.
