2016-10-28
GUJRAT: A key suspect allegedly involved in the killing of two women, including a deaf mute, during a house robbery in Moinuddin Pur village a few weeks ago, was killed by the `firing of his own accomplices who attacked the police to get him freed.

Gujrat DPO Sohail Zafar Chatha told Dawn that police had arrested Mudassar Shah alias Kaley Shah a few days ago and brought him to an area near the village to recover the weapon used in the murders where some of his accomplices attacked the police party in a bid to get him freed. During a `shootout` the DPO said, Mudassar Shah was injured by the firing of his own accomplices and later succumbed to his wounds at Aziz Bhatti Shaheed hospital. Earlier on Wednesday the Gujrat police claimed to have killed three robbers in an `encounter` in Kunjah police precincts. Correspondent
