MANSEHRA, Nov 27: Jamaat-i-Islami, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has warned the federal government to order downing of American drones violating the country`s sovereignty otherwise they would launch a movement for its ouster.
`We warn the government to hit drones violating our country`s sovereignty and killing innocent people, including women and children, otherwise we would launch an anti-government movement to dislodge the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz from power,` said provincial JI amir Prof Mohammad Ibrahim while speaking at a party meeting here on Wednesday.
Besides others, JI district amir Younus Khattak also spoke on the occasion. Prof Ibrahim further warned that their antigovernment movement would be continued till the government`s ouster.
He said that people wanted immediate halt to drone strikes in the country and the provincial government was blocking Nato supplies on the basis of its mandate. `We will continue the blockade of Nato supplies through KP until drone strikes are halted,` he said. The JI leader said that the federal government had failed to deliver and honour its mandate.
He said that the PML-N-led government had failed to deliver as prices of petroleum products, natural gas and electricity were being increased regularly without taking into account difficulties of masses.
Prof Ibrahim claimed that crime rate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had come down following assumption of power by the PTI-led ruling coalition.
