PESHAWAR: Unidentified persons hurled a hand grenade at the residence of former provincial minister Haji Mohammad Javed in Gulbahar area here on Friday evening.

It was second attack of its kind on the house of Mr javed during the last few weeks.

A police official said that there was no report of any loss of human life. However, a portion of the house was damaged in the attack.

Quoting some eyewitnesses, the official said that the grenade was hurled at the residence of former minister by two masked motorcyclists.

They escaped soon after the blast, he added.

`We are investigating the case and searching the area for arrest of the accused,` the official said.-Bureau Report
