Journalists colony issues reviewed

LAHORE: A meeting held on the instructions of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif decided on Wednesday to resolve the problems of Journalists Colony, Harbanspura.

The participants learned the Water and Sanitation Authority (Wasa) would make functional the disposal station and complete missing links while the power company would also ensure restoration of connections and their link within two days.

Similarly, the Parks and Horticulture Authority would take necessary steps for the removal of bushes from the park and ensure its beautißcation within 10 days.

Spokesperson for the Punjab government Zaeem Husain Qadri presided over the meeting held at Chief Minister`s Office which was attended by Parliamentary Secretary Muhammad Arshad, journalists and government officers.

The meeting decided that pending development affairs would be speedily disposed of in the colony and no hindrance would be tolerated in development work.

Similarly, police would ensure that government departments could discharge their responsibilities.

A meeting will be held on Monday to review other matters of the colony.

The meeting appreciated town planning of new F Block.

The construction of a centre of excellence and a dispensary will soon begin in the colony.

Qadri said that according to the instructions of the chief minister, all affairs of the clony would be resolved on a priority basis.
