Delay in educators recruitment irks candidates

2017-04-30
DERA GHAZI KHAN: The candidates have expressed their anguish over prolonged delay in recruitment of Educators by the local education authorities despite completion of the process.

The local education department had sought applications for recruitment of Educators more than eight months back.

Some 3,000 candidates had applied for 2,500 jobs of educators.

Representing the candidates, Jalal, Sabir, Akhtar and Rasheed said they had also cleared the National Testing Service (NTS) exam that was a prerequisite for applying for the job.

They said that despite completion of the recruitment process, the education department was not issuing results that was causing anxiety among the applicants. They said all other divisions except DG Khan had recruited the Educators.

They appealed to Punjab chief minister to take notice of the `unnecessary` delay in recruitment of Educators and provide them relief.

Education Chief Executive Officer Abdul Ghafar Khan Langah told the media that the department was awaiting `further directions` from the government regarding recruitment of Educators. Correspondent
