KHAR: Bajaur Agency political administration will take all the stakeholders on board in allocation of development funds in the region.
This was claimed by political agent Abdul Amir Khattak while speaking at a meeting in Sahibabad area of Khar tehsil.
JI provincial deputy chief SahibzadaHaroonRasheed, of ficials of local administration, line departments and elders were in attendance.
The political agent said provision of basic facilities to remote areas was the administration`s priority.
He said the administration was particularly focusing on the areas hitherto ignored in the development programme.
Mr Khattak said adequate funds would be allocated for backward areas in the next ADP. He admitted that remote areas had been ignored in the development process. However, he said his administration was rethinking the policy.
The political agent said now representatives of people from all walks of life, including tribal elders, religious and political leaders, would be taken on board while finalising the development schemes in the upcoming ADP.
In this way, he said, the administration would be able to identify the public welf are-oriented projects.
The of ficial asked the people to continue supporting the administration and security forces in maintaining peace for development and prosperity of the agency.
The political agent announced several development schemes for the region, including construction of a link road.
The residents apprised Mr Khattak that Sahibabad had long been ignored in development projects.Correspondent
