Two students among four killed in road accidents

KASUR: Four people, including two students, died while a man suffered critical injuries in two road accidents here on Monday in the limits of Phoolnagar city police station.

According to the police, two second-year commerce students Sohail and Amir were on their way to the examination centre to appear in their last paper on a motorcycle. Near Phoolnagar bypass, a van hit the two-wheeler from rear side.

As a result, both students fell on the road and died on the spot.

The van driver fled the scene after the accident. The police impounded the van and were looking for the driver.

In the second incident, Arshad, along with Jamil and Shafique, was traveling on a motorcycle from Dhilvan village to Phoolnagar.

When they reached near Parnavan bypass on Multan Road, a trailer knocked down the motorcycle.

As a result, Jamil and Shafique died on the spot, while Arshad suffered critical injuries.

He was rushed to Pattoki tehsil headquarters hospital where his condition was said to be serious.

The driver of the vehicle escaped.

The police shifted the bodies to the THQ Hospital for autopsy. Correspondent
