ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) promoted education campaigner Master Ayub at his school, in recognition of his services to promote education.

Mr Ayub is a CDA employee, and has been promoted to fire instructor from his last post as ñre controlsupervisor.

After his duty hours, Mr Ayub has been children from lowincome families at a park in F-6 for 34 years. He has already beenawarded a Pride of Performance award for his work.

Mr Ayub has also been working for the CDA`s fire brigade and has been due a promotion for many years, which did not come through at the right time due to red tape.

The matter was recently brought to the notice of CDA Member Administration Yasir Pirzada, who directed the concerned officials to expedite his case.

Mr Pirzada was quoted as saying that if they were unable to give him any extra benefits, he should at least be given his dueright, and directed the concerned officials to finalise his promotion.

On Wednesday, Mr Pirzada visited Mr Ayub`s school and hand over the framed promotion order.

`It is an honour for the department that a devoted volunteer like Mr Muhammad Ayub is a part of the organisation, and it is our national obligation to acknowledge such people,` he said while handing over the order.

He also directed the concerned CDA wings to arrange shelter, lighting and drinking water for Mr Ayub`s students.
