PESHAWAR, Oct 29: The US Ambassador in Pakistan Richard Olson on Tuesday met Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah here and discussed with him progress on USAID-funded projects in the province and Fata.
The governor highlighted importance of these projects, especially in education and communication sectors, in ensuring better opportunities for educated youth of the province and Fata, according to a handout.
The governor told the US envoy about the political reforms introduced in the tribal area and of strengthening of administrative system to protect basic rights of people and ensure stability and security in the area.
Mr Shaukatullah said vast mineral potential in Fata needed to be tapped for economic development and employment, and added concrete measures were being taken in that regard. -Bureau Report
