GILGIT: Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Syed Mehdi Shah on Wednesday approved time-scale formula for the college teachers.

According to a notification issued by the CM House here, BS-16 teachers, having completed five years of service in the same scale would be upgraded to BS-17; and BS-17 teachers with five years of service in the same scale or a total of ten years in BS-16 would be eligible for promotion to BS-18.

Similarly, BS-18 teachers having seven years of service in the same scale or a total of 12 years of service in BS-17 would get grade 19.

And, the BS-19 teachers with seven years of service in the same scale or a total of 19 years in BS-18 would be promoted to BS-20.

The notification said that the promotion formula would be subjected to terms and conditions issued by the GB education department.
