KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Friday directed the home secretary, civil defence department director and additional controller to file their comments on the promotion of the respondent additional controller from grade 5 to grade 16.
The petition against Additional Controller of Karachi East district Fatima Memon was filed by Additional Controller, Central, Mohammad Mukhtar Khan, represented by his attorney Mohammad Iqbal Kazmi, who informed the judges that the woman respondent was appointed in Basic Pay Scale5, but she was promoted to BPS-16 in 1994.
He said there was no record as to how the Sindh Public Service Commission had selected Ms Memon for promotion in BPS-16.
