LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department claim to have foiled a terrorism plan by arresting two members of banned militant organisation Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
According to the CTD spokesperson, the arrests came during an intelligence-based operation which was conducted on Wednesday evening at Old Ravi Pul Chowk near Ring Road.
Those arrested were identified as Amjad Khan and Ikramullah. They were members of the TTP (Gazi Force).
According to the spokesperson, they were preparing to launch an attack on security agencies personnel. The CTD recovered hand grenades and explosive material from their procession.Funher investigation is under way.-Staff Reporter
