LAHORE: The PPP took out a rally in the National Assembly constituency NA-120 in support of its nominee Faisal Mir for the by-polls.

Led by the party`s Punjab chapter president, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Lahore chapter president Azizur Rehman Chan and Faisal Mir, the rally started from Abid Market, Mozang.

After passing through Regal Chowk, the GPO, Old Anarkali, Jain Mandir and Islampura it terminated at the Neeli Bar Chowk.

Jiyalas danced to the beat of drums and showered petals on the participants throughout the route of the rally.

Meanwhile, the party has announced holding a public meeting in Sahiwal on Sept 19 to be addressed by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

A seven-member committee led by PPP divisional president Khurram Jehangir Wattoo and comprising Shehzad Cheema, Ghulam Fareed Kathia, Shehnaz Javed, Sajjadul Hasan and Zakki Chaudhry was also formed to make arrangements for the event.

Mr Bilawal had earlier addressed public meetings in Mansehra and Attock recently.Staff Reporter
