By Our Correspondent 2016-10-31
MANSEHRA: Tehsil municipal administration (TMA), Mansehra, has dumped garbage in front of the nearby shops and business centres after removing the filth from the choked sewerage lines and a nullah, troubling the traders and other people on Abbottabad Road for the last two weeks.

The TMA started opening of the sewerage lines and a nullah after public complaints that dirty water overflowing the choked lines at Abbottabad Road is creating problems for the residents for the last many months.

Tehsil nazim Khuram Khan had ordered opening of the sewerage lines in mid October. However, the broken pieces of rocks, concrete and mud removed from the sewerage lines are lying near the Abbottabad Road for the last two week, causing problems for the passersby, trafñc and nearby traders.

`The heaps of filth and broken concrete have shattered our business activities and we are compelled tocover the open lines by our own,` said Amjid Qureshi, owner of an electronic shop.

He said that the schoolchildren and women were the most affected by this situation.

He said that though the TMA opened the choked lines, it failed to shift the sewage from the area. The traders asked the TMA to immediately shift the garbage and filth from the area so that they could do their business with a peace of mind.
