PESHAWAR: Punjab University (PU) clinched the All Pakistan InterUniversity Archery Women Championship trophy after securing first position in the tournament held at the Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan on Sunday.

PU secured 309 points courtesy major contributions from Zunaira Liaqat, Sadia Khan and Saima Ahmad.

Zunaira recorded 120 points in the final phase, Sadia scored 100 while Saima hit another vital 89 points.

Lahore College for Women took the runners-up position by scoring 143 points with Sabia scoring 68 points Qurat U1 Ain recording 49 points .

Bahauddin Zikria University, Multan, with 92 points followed by Iqra University (68) points, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahorewith47pointswhileUniversity of Sargodha and Abdul Wali Khan University shared the 6th position with 40 points each.

The tournament was organised by Directorate of Sports of the host university.

Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar, University of Swabi, University of L ahore, and LCU Lahore also participated in the event.
