Medical reps` entry to Bisham hospital banned

SHANGLA: The management of the tehsil headquarters hospital, Bisham, has banned entry of representatives of pharmaceutical companies to the facility as their frequent visits hinder the smooth functioning of the outpatient department.
A notification issued by medical superintendent Dr Mansoor Ahmed Khan on Tuesday, said after receiving complaints through the Pakistan Citizen Portal it had been decided to ban the entry of representadves of the pharmaceutical companies into the hospital in the best interest of public and ensure smooth operations of the health facility.
It said the medical representatives were not allowed to visit OPD from 9am to 12pm.
The notification said the visits of the companies` representatives to the emergency should also be curbed, and warned that if any doctor or other staff member was found violating the decision disciplinary action would be taken against him.
POLICE OFFICIALS RESHUFFLED: District police officer Malak Ijaz transferred and posted officials of different police stations on Tuesday.
A circular issued by the DPO office said Inspector Gulzar Ahmed had been transferred to the police lines Alpuri from police station Kamach where he was serving as station house of ficer.
Sub-Inspector Anwar Sayed had been transferred from police station Alpuri and posted SHO Kamach police station. SubInspector Khurshid Ali, who was SHO Karora police station, was transferred and deployed in-charge of police checkpost in Dehrai.
Sub-Inspector Mohammad Sadiq posted as SHO at Karora police station, Bakht Aleem, SHO Chawga police station, were transferred to the police lines.
Sub-Inspector Liaqat Ali was assigned the job of SHO police station Chawga.
Meanwhile, Olander police seized timber being smuggled to Karora from Damorai area.
SHO Sayed Mahmood told Dawn that they stopped a vehicle at Gaji Khwar area, which was full of timber being smuggled to Karora.
