QUETTA: All steps should be taken to wipe out terrorism from Balochistan, said Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Aamir Riaz during a meeting on law and order held here on Saturday.He directed the officials concerned to ensure that terrorism was eliminated and law and order was maintained in the province at all costs.The meeting was attended by Home Minister Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattha, Garrison Commander Maj Gen Aftab Khan, IG Frontier Corps Maj Gen Sher Afgun, IG Police Ahsan Mehboob, Chief of Staff Southern Command Maj Syed Muhammad and other senior officials.

Gen Riaz was informed about the situation in the province with reference to attacks on police personnel, suicide blasts and security arrangements made by the government to deal with this.`Steps should be taken to increase security in the province,` the commander said, adding that he was satisfied with the performance of the law-enforcement agencies.-Staff Correspondent
