THE Federal Public Service Commission conducted tests for the posts of assistant director for a federal government organisation on Jan 28.
It was surprising for the candidates appearing in the test that most of the questions asked in the test paper were taken from a current affairs website. A sizeable number of the multiple choice questions set in the question paper were a cut and paste job from the same website.
The more disturbing fact was that the some of the MCQs` answers reproduced in this website were wrong. An example: all newspapers reported on a Nov 30, 2017 drone attack in which three people were killed.
This website states that four suspects were killed. Both options were given in the paper. If the questions were picked from the website, it is safe to assume that the answers would also be taken from the same site.
An institution meant to recruit the country`s civil servants should be more circumspect. The FPSC chairman should take notice.
