LAHORE: An anti-corruption court on Tuesday granted interim pre-arrest bail to former principal secretary to chief minister Muhammad Khan Bhatti and others in a case of taking over Rs460 million as bribe from government officials to appoint them against posts of their choice.

Three officials of the C&W Department nominated in the case by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) also get bail by the court till Feb 11.

According to the FIR, Bhatti got hefty amounts as bribe through Rana Iqbal to appoint Punjab Highways Department officers. Bhatti is believed to be a close confidant of former chief minister Parvez Elahi. Staff Reporter
