ISLAMABAD: Law students must participate in advocacy exercises to improve their analytical, communication and other requisite skills to become exceptional legal practitioners.
This was said by Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Justice Aamer Farooq while presiding over the School of International Law`s (SIL) Final Moot Court Tournament which was held in the federal capital. The event was attended by students and mentors.
As part of the moot court tournament, students argued before Justice Aamer Farooq, showcasing their skills.He advised the participants about improving their research and advocacy abilities.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq praised the students on their resilience, especially when it came to handling difficult questions from the judges.
Commending their skills, he remarked that winning and losing was part of learning. `What mattered the most was their consistency and dedication towards improving their skills,` he noted.
He further encouraged the students to continue participating in as many advocacy exercises as they can as it will help them in their careers as legal practitioners. Staff Reporter
