FDA cracks down on illegal housing schemes

TOBA TEK SINGH: In an operation against illegal housing schemes, encroachment and the encroachment mafia, construction structures of four illegal housing schemes were demolished by a Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) team in Faisalabad on Friday.
FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry told the media that an attempt to encroach on the land of FDAowned shops in Ahmad Nagar locality was also thwarted and structures were demolished on the spot by a team.
He said the illegal housing schemes that have been sealed include City Housing, Unique City, Izmir City, and Roshan Villas. Meanwhile, the team,using heavy machinery, removed encroachments on a plot adjacent to the police station of D-Type Colony.
27-YEAR JAIL: AntiNarcotics Force Court Special Judge Muhammad Iqbal Haral sentenced 27 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs1.5 million on Friday in Faisalabad to an accused in two narcotics cases, Fareeha. Faisalabad ANF had arrested her a year ago and had recovered a heavy quantity of opium and ice heroin from her.
The convict was sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs1 million in the opium recovery case and seven years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs500,000 in the ice heroin recovery case.CHILD FOUND: A child kidnapped five days ago in Gojra Chak 430-JB was found alive but had been thrown out-side his house packed in a sack on Friday.
Muhammad Umair, father of two-year-old Muhammad Umar, informed Gojra Saddar police when he woke up in the morning, he heard the voice of his weeping son outside his outer door and found him packed in a polythene sack.
Police registered a kidnap case against unidentified abductors. Meanwhile, in Gojra`s Chak 307-JB, a 17-yearold girl was kidnapped by her cousin Muneer Masih.
Her father, Arif Masih, claimed in his FIR that she was alone at home when the accused and his two unidentified accomplices abducted her.
In another incident in Muhalla Baseline, Gojra, a married woman was also kidnapped.
Her husband, MuhammadPervez, informed police that two unidentified people forcibly entered his house and abducted his wife when he was not home.
GANG BUSTED: A four-member gang involved in stealing petrol from Jhang (Parco) pipelines was arrested on Friday.
A police spokesperson said the suspectsused tostealpetrol from the Parco pipeline in the Mochiwala police station area by digging holes underground.
The arrested suspects include Ali Hassan, Nasir Ali, Ghulam Rasool and Ehsanul Haque. A case was registered against them.
GANG RAPE: Kamalia Saddar police arrested a teacher of a religious seminary on Friday for allegedly raping a Quran learner child for three months.
The complainant, mother ofnine-year-old boy, told police that the suspect repeatedly rapedhersonandthreatenedto strangle him if he revealed the abuse. She said that when she brought him home from the seminary, he disclosed the ordeal, after which she informed police. The suspect was arrested.
BLASPHEMY: The Toba city police booked a man on Friday for blasphemy.
The complainant of Gojra claimed in his FIR registered under Section 295-A of PPC and Section 11 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 that he received WhatsApp messages from the suspect, in which he used blasphemous words. He provided proofs of the messages to the police.
Police were conducting raids to arrestthe accused.
