Woman, two daughters found slaughtered

TOBA TEK SINGH: A young woman and her two minor daughters were found slaughtered in their house in Chak 632-GB, Faisalabad, on Thursday night.

According to Lundianwala police, Muhammad Yasin informed them that his brother Muhammad Ibrahim`s wife, Iram Bibi, 28, and her two daughters, Kiran Bibi, 5, and Noor Fatima, 2, had been found slaughtered with a sharp chopper.

He also told the police that he was not calling from the village where the murders took place.

When the police arrived at the scene, Ibrahim, husband of Iram, and his younger brother Ismail were both absent from their home.

The bodies were shifted toJaranwala THQ Hospital for autopsy.

ENCOUNTER: A robberymurder case suspect was killed in an alleged police encounter with Batala Colony police in Faisalabad on Thursday.

Police claimed that Azhar Iqbal of Chak 620-GB had fled their custody on Wednesday night while being taken back to the police station after the recovery of looted valuables.

According to police, near Palak Chowk, an eagle squad signalled two suspects on a motorcycle to stop, but they opened fire on the police, which was retaliated. When the firing stopped, police found Azhar dead, while his accomplice fled.

Police claimed the killed suspect was hit by bullets fired by his own accomplice. The deceased was reportedly involved in the murder of DrTahir Majeed during a robbery at his clinic on Feb 1 over resistance.

ROOF COLLAPSE: A young girl died when the roof of her house caved in while she was asleep during rain in Samundri Tehsil`s Chak 386 GB, Sultan Pura, on late Thursday night.

Rescue 1122 personnel and villagers removed the heavy debris and recovered 16-yearold Nimra Habib dead. Reports suggested the roof was in a dilapidated condition.

FIA: Faisalabad FIA immigration staff arrested two passengers on Friday for travelling on fake documents.

An FIA official said that Amjad Ali, who arrived from Yemen via flight G9-562 through Saudi Arabia, was caught using a fake emergency passport.

During immigration clear-ance, his documents were found suspicious and in the initial investigation, he confessed that he had obtained the fake emergency passport through a Yemeni travel agent, Abdullah, for 7,500 Saudi Riyals.

Also, FIA arrested Muhammad Zahid, who landed at Faisalabad on flight FZ 356, and fake visas for Albania and other countries were recovered from him. Both arrested passengers were handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell for further action.

ARRESTED: Faisalabad police arrested two people on Friday for shaving a youth`s hair and eyebrows, painting his face black, and making him parade on a donkey in the streets of Chak 110-RB Babaywala over suspicion of stealing branches from their trees for firewood.A police spokesperson said Abdul Razzaq and Pupoo were arrested for their involvement in the act.

KILLED: A herbalist was murdered on Friday on Canal Road, Faisalabad, ccording to Mansoorabad police.

Hakim Javed Iqbal was on foot when an unidentified assailant opened fire on him.

He was hit multiple times in the chest and died instantly.

His body was shifted to Allied Hospital for autopsy.

ACCIDENT: A woman was killed and nine other passengers were injured when a van collided head-on with a tractortrolley near Feroze Wattoan on Faisalabad-Sheikhupura Road on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Shahnaz Bibi, 45, of Lahore.

The injured were shifted to Sheikhupura DHQ Hospital.
