MUZAFFARGARH: A major robbery took place in Chak 6/4R of Joanna Bangla, a suburb of Rangpur police station, where six robbers held a family hostage and tortured the women before looting valuables.

According to details, Ghulam Yasin was asleep with his wife and children when the robbers broke into the house and looted Rs800,000, three mobilephones, CDs, and a motorcycle, before escaping.

Upon receiving a call on police helpline 15, the Rangpur police arrived and began legal proceedings. The victim and locals staged a protest, demanding the arrest of the culprits. Police claimed to have arrested one suspect, Imran, and assured that the remaining culprits would be apprehended soon. Correspondent
