ISLAMABAD: Pakistan`s exports to Spain increased to $875 million between January and December 2014 from $686 million in 2013 calendar year,registering anincrease of28 per cent.
This was stated at a meeting between Commerce Minister Khurram Dastagir Khan and Spanish Secretary of State for Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. The minister acknowledged that there was an increase in the bilateral trade and vowed to further expand it.
An official statement issued after the meeting said that the minister further added that according to EU statistics, Pakistan`s exports to EU are showing an increasing trend due to GSP-Plus facility. During the firs t year of the GSP-Plus, Pakistan`s exports increased by $1.32 billion, registering a 21pc increase.
