RAWALPINDI: A man was killed by poison, allegedly by his wife, in Sadigabad.

Police said on Sunday that the deceased, 32-yearold Wajid Hussain, got married four years ago.

His wife recently returned to her family home in Sadigabad after problems developed between them.

Hussain visited his inlaws on Saturday. SubInspector Chaudhry Aslam, who is leading the investigation into his death, said Hussain`s brother Danish Hussain told him over the phone in the evening that his brother had been poisoned by his wife and was in worsening condition.

He was pronounced dead at a hospital, and the body was handed over to his brother after a postmortem examination.

Mr Aslam said a murder case has been registered on the brother`s complaint.
