WHICHEVER way the current political uncertainty might end, the ugly and most detestable incident which took place at Sindh House in Islamabad deserves condemnation in the strongest possible words. The presence of certain characters on the premises should have been reason enough for the interior ministry to take precautionary measures through beefed up security apparatus. The authoritiesfailed miserably, and stand condemned.
Having said that, it is blatantly wrong to equate the attack on Sindh House with an attack on Sindh.Every province belongs to every Pakistani. The politicians who tried to give a twist to the episode should refrain from doing so.
The other provinces have experienced much bloodier and deadlier attacks in the past. Parochialism is dangerous as it only divides us. The political instinct to twist anything and everything in one`s favour must be kept in strict check.
