DACCA: `Unflinching faith in the leadership of the Quaid-i-Azam and whole-hearted support for his views on the language problem`, were subjects of two resolutions passed at a largely attended meeting of Muslim students in the Fazlul Haq Muslim Hall of the Dacca University held recently. Vows `at the cost of their lives to eradicate and uproot ruthlessly the disruptive forces that are rampant in the infant state of Pakistan` were taken in the meeting... .

An overwhelming majority of the Dacca University students, it may be recalled, had been carrying on a relentless campaign for making Bengali one of the state languages of Pakistan, besides the official language of East Bengal. They had gone on strike to force the Ministry`s hands for getting categorical assurancesinthatrespectandthe strikehad taken a serious turn when the Quaid-eAzam`s visit was announced. ...
