QUETTA: A suspected militant was killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in Pasni on Sunday.

According to Levies officials, security personnel launched a search operation in the Kolanch area after receiving information about the presence of militants there.

`Heavy exchange of fire took place in the area, resulting in the killing of an armed militant,` they claimed.

The body of the suspected militant, identified as Habibullah, a resident of Ward No-6 of Pasni town, was shifted to the district hospital.

Habibullah`s family claimed that he had not returned home for the past four years.
