LONDON: Mr Liaquat Ali Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan, who is in London on his way to the United States, today [April 30] called upon Mr Patrick Gordon-Walker, Commonwealth Relations Minister. They discussed matters of mutual interest, it is understood, and afterwards lunched together. Mr Liaquat Ali Khan will visit Prime Minister Clement Attlee ... tomorrow. Mr Krishna Menon, Bharat`s High Commissioner in London, and Mr Lewis Douglas, [US] Ambassador to Britain, were expected to call on Mr Liaquat Ali Khan tomorrow morning. Begum Liaquat Ali Khan was meeting about 70 Pakistani women students in London tonight at the Pakistan High Commission.

Asked on arrivals whether he would discuss economic and other matters with President Truman and other [US] officials the Pakistan Prime Minister replied: `I am not going to discuss only the weather in the United States. ...
