MITHI: The Awami Tehreek on Wednesday announced its programme of protests against water theft and corporate farming and said the party`s peaceful democratic struggle would continue.

The party`s central president, Advocate Vasand Thari, said at a press conference here that the people must not fall for false propaganda as the canal project stH1 existed. The Council of Common Interests decision did not mention the word of cancel for the canals.

He said the AT and Sindhiyani Tehreek would stage protests in Karachi, Thatta, Diplo, and Mirpurkhas on May 1, followed by demonstrations till May 18.

Separately, Sindhiani Tehreek would organise a province-wide whistle march from May 15 to June 15 to raise public awareness about corporate farming and the CCI`s decision.-Dawn Report
